Let’s Celebrate Kids!
International Children’s Day is around the corner, a day that which was first proclaimed by the United Nations in the 1950s. The intent of observing Children’s Day is to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of children around the world. We hope that by recognizing this day, millions of children have a better world to live in every day of the year.
Closer to home, a donation to a food bank would help a neighbour in the local community to feed their children, which is a struggle for many when trying to make ends meet. When donating to a food bank, it’s always wise to check with them to find out what food items are most needed at a particular time.
To celebrate the kids in your life, make these kids’ favourites for them this week:
We give thanks for the children of Canada and the world – they are our future! Each and every one of them deserves a bright future of their own.
